Bio

Pengning Chao received a BA in physics and mathematics from Washington University in 2017 as an Arthur Holly Compton fellow and received his PhD from Princeton University under Alejandro Rodriguez in 2023. He is interested in applied mathematics and computational physics in general, with a current focus on understanding the structure and solution to PDE-constrained optimization problems in photonics.
