Positions are available in Pure and Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Applied Probability at the level of Assistant Professor or higher beginning September 2010. Appointments are based primarily on exceptional research qualifications. Appointees will be expected to fulfill teaching duties and pursue their own research program. PhD required by employment start date.

These positions, for September 2010, are open to mathematicians who show definite promise in research. Applicants with PhD’s after January 2009 are strongly preferred. Appointees will be expected to fulfill teaching duties and pursue their own research program.

Simons Postdoctoral Fellowship

This position, beginning September 2010, is a 3-year postdoctoral fellowship supported by the Simons Foundation. This fellowship provides a 12-month salary of $70,000, with an annual $7,000 supplement for research support. It carries a teaching load of one class per year. The position is open to candidates who show definite promise in research and who have received their PhD after August 2009. Fellows will be expected to pursue their own research program.

Applicants for Instructor positions will automatically be considered for the Simons Postdoctoral Fellowship.
