I am currently a postdoc at MSRI for the Tropical Geometry program.
I was an applied math instructor (a postdoc) at MIT from Fall 2007 through Spring 2009.
I graduated from UC Berkeley in May 2007, where my advisor was Professor Bernd Sturmfels.
From January through June 2007, I was visiting the Institute for Mathematics and Its Applications in Minneapolis, for the Thematic Year on Applications of Algebraic Geometry.
I am currently interested in geometric combinatorics and its applications to computational commutative algebra and algebraic geometry, in particular, tropical geometry.
Here is my CV, updated in October 2009.
