AQUABATICS

    The collage above was the winner of the MIT student mural competition.  It has been printed 10 ft x 7 ft and is currently displayed in MIT's Stata Center.  Each of the photographs above was taken by students of the FAB Lab over the years 1999-2003. 
Each quadrant of the mural reflects one facet of surface-tension driven flows.    1) Left column:  Fluid polygons and polyhedra.   2) Right column: Hydraulic jumps.  3) Top center: Fluid fishbones.   4) Bottom center: Water-walkers.
