"The Many Uses of the Discrete Cosine Transform"

The analogue of the discrete fourier transform for only real inputs is known as
the discrete cosine transform (DCT). DCTs have found important applications in
modern signal processing, from image to music compression among many others. In
this talk, I will review the basics of DCTs and explore a number of important,
and dare I say cool, applications.
