Greetings math grad students and friends,
Another semester of SPAMS (the Simple Person's Applied Math Seminar) will
soon be upon us. This means
WE NEED YOU to give a talk!
By now you all know what SPAMS is, and you've witnessed its awesome power.
This coming semester sees some minor changes, as SPAMS moves back to its
original time slot from 5-6pm on "Must See Comedy" Thursdays.
SPAMS is a great opportunity to practice speaking in a no-pressure
environment, and any topic of interest to the applied math graduate
community is fair game. If any of you would like to give a talk (and we
especially encourage some of the new faces not to be shy), please send us
an email at spams@mit.edu. Be sure to include any scheduling preferences
you have for THURSDAYS between Feb 9 and May 18.
Sincerely,
Chris, Pak, Kevin,
The SPAMS organizers
